However, China and Russia have already started using their vaccines before widespread experimentation ends.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a press conference on Friday that vaccines have been used successfully for decades. He mentioned his contribution in the eradication of smallpox and polio. He said, “I would like to assure the public that WHO will not support a vaccine that is not effective and safe.”
