UGC told 24 universities of the country, UP, Delhi leads

New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a list informing 24 self-styled, unaccredited institutions in the country to be fake. Uttar Pradesh has the most institutes. UGC Secretary Rajneesh has stated that the UGC Act is being violated. At present there are 24 self-styled, non-recognized institutions that are fake, they do not have the right to award degrees.

While eight of these universities are from Uttar Pradesh, seven from Delhi and two each from Odisha and West Bengal. There are one such fake university in Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Puducherry and Maharashtra.
