Trainee plane crashed in Balaghat MP, two pilots killed, one dead body recovered, search continues

Balaghat: Information about a big plane accident has come to light in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. A charter plane crashed in the forest of Bhakkutola in the Kirnapur area here. Two trainee pilots died in this accident. Balaghat SP Sameer Saurabh told that there was a pilot and a female trainee pilot in the plane. One person’s dead body is seen burning, searching for another.

According to reports, the crashed plane was a trainee aircraft of Birsi Airport in Maharashtra’s Gondia district. This aircraft took off from Birsi airstrip, which crashed about 40 km from the district headquarters.

It is being told that the incident took place at around 3.20 pm. The plane had taken off from Birsi airport about 15 minutes before the accident. It is being told that at the time of the accident, pilot Mohit and trainee pilot Varsuka were present in the aircraft. At present, the rescue team has reached there. The reason for the accident is not yet known.

According to the information, a trainee training plane crashed in the highly naxal-affected village Bhakku Tola of Lodagi Chowki under Lanji police station of Balaghat district. The pilot and co-pilot died on the spot in the accident. When the local people saw the plane crashing on the hill, they reached the spot, but by then both the pilots were badly burnt. In the initial information, the pilot and co-pilot had taken off for training from Birsi airstrip at 2 pm in the trainee aircraft.

Additional Superintendent of Police Aditya Mishra said that in the preliminary investigation, the crashed plane belongs to the flight school operated in the Gondia district of the neighboring state of Maharashtra, in whose trainer charter plane the accident happened. A crowd of villagers has gathered at the spot. Simultaneously, the investigation is being done by the police officers and team on the spot. It is worth mentioning that tomorrow i.e. March 20, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is reaching Balaghat to participate in the program of Ladli Bahna Yojana in Lanji Tehsil adjacent to Kirnapur. Before the Chief Minister’s arrival in Balaghat, the police is also more alert than before due to the major incident of the plane crash in the neighboring tehsil Kirnapur forest.
