New Delhi: The corona vaccine has started in all states and union territories of India from Saturday. Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health has created an app named COVIN (Co-WIN App) to monitor the distribution of Covid-19 vaccine, keep data and get people registered for the vaccine. Citizens of the country who are not health workers can self-register for the vaccine on the CoWIN app, for which they have to download this app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. After the vaccination is launched for use, those who have already registered on the app will get the vaccine as soon as possible.
What is the CoWIN App?
Co-WIN (COVID-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network) is an upgraded version of eVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network), and has been made available free on the Play Store. The Health Ministry said that the government will get the vaccine in three stages. In these, all frontline healthcare professionals in the first phase and those associated with emergency services in the second phase will get the vaccine vaccine. State governments are collecting data of these people. After this, in the third phase, those people who are suffering from serious diseases will be vaccinated. For this, a self-registration process will be required through the Co-Win app.
To ensure easy tracking and registration of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Co-Win app is divided into 5 modules, with the first administrative module, the second registration module, the third vaccination module, the fourth benefit acceptance module, and the fifth report module. Those who want to get vaccinated will have to provide and provide details under the registration module. In the vaccination module, their details will be verified and the beneficiation acceptance module will send them a certificate regarding their vaccination.
CoWIN App: How to register for Vaccine?
- Citizens who are not health workers will be able to register for the vaccine through the registration module on the CoWin app. The CoWin app can be downloaded through the Google Play Store or the App Store. For information, let us know that this application has not been launched yet.
- One of the 12 photo identity documents (Voter ID, Aadhar card, driving license, passport and pension document, will be required for self-registration on the Co-WIN website.
- After online registration, the beneficiary will get an SMS on the registered mobile number, including the date, time and place of vaccination
