New Delhi: Continuous work is being done to lay the Char Dham Rail Link of Indian Railways Uttarakhand. Here the survey work has been completed to construct the rail line to Gangotri and Yamunotri. This survey will go from Doiwala to Barkot via Uttarkashi. At the same time, work has also been speeded up for the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line to connect Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham with the railway line.

Railways is constantly working in the difficult geography of the place and also in the opposite weather. The survey work for Gangotri and Yamunotri has been completed. For this, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited ie RVNL has completed the survey work from Doiwala to Uttarkashi to Barkot.

Constant work is going on for the railway line leading to Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. Here the construction of the new Rishikesh railway station and tunnel has been completed. New Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail is expected to be ready by 2025. This railway line will be 125 km long, 105 km of which will pass through the tunnel. The train will run at a speed of 100 km per hour on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway track. That is, this project will not only complete the ambitious project of the Government of India, but the people of Uttarakhand will be of great benefit.
