Tata Nexon overtakes Brezza, Creta and becomes number 1 again in October

New Delhi: Tata Nexon has been very popular in the Indian automobile market since its launch. For a long time, it was the bestselling car in its segment. After the launch of the Maruti Brezza, this car lagged behind and in August-September, Brezza occupied the first position. Now Nexon has regained its No. 1 spot in October.

In October, 13767 units of Tata Nexon were sold. In September, 10,096 units of this car were sold. In October, the growth in the sales of this car was registered.

36% year-on-year growth
Tata Nexon has registered a year-on-year sales growth of 36 percent. It is the only SUV to be offered in petrol, diesel, and electric options. In fact, Tata is also producing a CNG version of the Nexon SUV which has been spotted testing several times on Indian roads. The new model is available with two ICE engines – a 1.2L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo-diesel. The Nexon EV is offered in two battery pack options – 32kWh with Prime and 40kWh with EV Max.

Hyundai Creta ranks second in the list of best-selling SUVs in October 2022. Hyundai sold 11880 units of the Creta as compared to 6,455 units sold in the same month last year. , Hyundai will also launch the new Creta facelift in the country in early 2023, probably at the Auto Expo. The new model is likely to get ADAS technology, a 360-degree camera, and an updated infotainment system.

Sale of punch
The Tata Punch subcompact SUV remains strong in terms of sales for the domestic automaker. The company sold 10,982 units of Punch in October 2022, compared to 8,453 units sold in the same month last year. The small SUV is reportedly to get an electric version in 2023.

After conquering the segment for the last 2 months, Maruti Brezza slipped to number four in October 2022. The company sold 9,941 units of Brezza as against 8,032 units in the same month last year, registering a year-on-year sales growth of 24.
