The test kit has been developed by Tata Group’s health unit Medical and Diagnostics (MD) in collaboration with the government. This is called “check”. Its uniqueness is that it will get the investigation report within 90 minutes and it will also make the investigation very easy. Right now, it takes many hours for the results of the most reliable RT-PCR test to come. This kit can be very useful in view of the increasing number of new cases. Girish Krishnamurthy, the CEO, Tata Medical and Diagnostics, said the company’s Chennai-based unit would start production of 1 million kits per month, which would be increased later.

- The Ministry of Science and Technology says that its test results will be better than the rapid antigen test. Rapid antigen tests are increasingly being used to detect corona infections.
- 60 per cent tests are being done with Rapid Antigen Kit. The results come within 15 minutes, but there is a message about their accuracy.
- It takes many hours for the test results to come from the RT-PCR kit, but the results are accurate.
- Swabs taken from the nose with the “check” kit will be examined and the results will come in 90 minutes. Its detection process is based on Artificial Intelligence and Automation.
- It will be sold to hospitals and laboratories in the country from next month. He said that this kit does not require very large and expensive equipment for investigation.
