Bhopal: The much-awaited decision of the Supreme Court on OBC reservation has arrived. Panchayat elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held only with OBC reservation. The Supreme Court has said in its decision today that Panchayat elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held with OBC reservation. But the number of reservations should not be more than 50 percent. Both BJP and Congress have welcomed the court’s decision.

The big decision of the Supreme Court has come in the matter of the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat elections. Elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh under the OBC reservation. The Supreme Court has ordered elections under OBC reservation in Madhya Pradesh and asked the State Election Commission to issue a notification of elections within a week. Taking the report of the Backward Classes Welfare Commission as the basis, the Supreme Court has ordered reservations in Panchayat elections.

Order to issue notification of election
In its order, the Supreme Court said that on the basis of the recommendation of the Backward Classes Welfare Commission, the Election Commission should issue the notification of Panchayat elections. Following the triple test, the Backward Classes Welfare Commission submitted the report.

Thanks to the Supreme Court
As soon as the Supreme Court’s decision came, MP Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra thanked the Hon’ble Supreme Court. He thanked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that our government has won. Our hard work paid off. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, we met legal experts and presented our point with facts before the Hon’ble Court. Mishra said Congress committed a sin. He went to the court to stop the election with the OBC reservation. We went to the court to hold the election with the OBC reservation. Ultimately the truth prevailed. Now we are going to conduct elections with OBC reservation.

Congress said that the old situation was restored
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha also welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision. He said but this is not the victory of the government. The Supreme Court has restored the old position. Currently, OBC will get only 14 percent of reservations because already ST and SC are getting 36 percent of reservations.
