The suicide rate was 7.4 percent in 2019 which increased to 8.2 percent in 2020. Obviously, these students ended their lives due to the additional mental stress in the lockdown. Man is a social animal. During the lockdown, schools, colleges, coaching classes were closed and the interaction of students stopped.

There was a question mark on all the studies and examinations. There was uncertainty everywhere. No one was able to understand when the situation would be back to normal. The worldwide corona crisis had lost everyone’s senses. In such a situation, students were surrounded by heavy frustration, their education, future prospects, and plans were questioned. He saw his career and ambitions being sabotaged. Earlier students used to commit suicide due to fear of failing in the examination or failing.
