Strictness increased in many states during festive season, travelers will have to bring negative reports of Covid test

New Delhi: Despite the decline in corona infection in the country, many states are taking precautions to catch the pace of re-infection during the festive season. Corona guidelines are being issued again. Even after the decline in Coronavirus infection, many states including Kerala have again seen a spurt in Covid cases. Now, these states have increased the concerns of other states.

If you are also planning to travel during the festive season, then know that many states have made it mandatory for travelers coming from other states to bring the negative report of the Covid-19 test. Let us know about all such states.

Karnataka: No corona test will be required in Karnataka for travelers from any state other than Kerala and Maharashtra. For passengers coming to Karnataka from Kerala and Maharashtra, a negative report of the RTPCR test issued within 72 will be required. Along with this, the state government has also allowed travelers coming into the state from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East without a Covid report.

Maharashtra: Passengers from other states are required to carry negative RT-PCR report of COVID test within 72 hours before entering Maharashtra. Passengers will not be allowed to board the flight without the RT-PCR report.

The government has also tightened rules for international passengers flying into Mumbai and other airports in the state and a strict rule that the RT-PCR negative test should not be more than 72 hours old. It is mandatory to bring a negative report also for those passengers who have taken both doses of the vaccine.

Kerala: The Government of Kerala has also made it mandatory for passengers coming from other states to bring the negative reports of the Covid test within 72 hours. However, for traveling from one city to another within the state, it will not be mandatory to bring a negative report of the Covid test.

Tamil Nadu: The Tamil Nadu government has made it mandatory for people coming from Kerala to have a negative RT-PCR test report and a COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) certificate.

Apart from this, thermal screening of all passengers coming from the UK, Brazil, South Africa, and Middle Eastern countries is being done and RT-PCR tests are being done as per the guidelines of the Central Government.

Uttarakhand: The Government of Uttarakhand has removed the requirement of the negative reports of the Covid test for people coming from other states in the state. In this regard, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had made an announcement on July 31 itself. He had said that now there has been a decline in the cases of corona infection, due to which the obligation of the negative report of Kovid is removed.

Himachal Pradesh: The Himachal Pradesh government has tightened the entry rules for those coming from other states. Now it has become mandatory for the passengers to register themselves on the Covid e-portal. Corona rules are being followed strictly in the state again.

Jammu and Kashmir: In Jammu and Kashmir also, strictness is being taken in the corona rules. Passengers arriving here will have to undergo RTPCR or antigen test and will have to remain in home quarantine till the test report comes.

Gujarat: Thermal scanning of passengers coming from other states is being done in Gujarat. There will be no need for any kind of Kovid test to know from one city to another within the state.
