Stokes, Broad guide England to victory

Mancester: England beat West Indies by 113 runs in the second Test on day 5 of last day leveling the series 1-1 at Old Trafford on Monday.

All-rounder Ben Stokes brilliant show with bat and ball 176, (78 not out) with 3 wickets and pacer Stuart Broad fine bowling spell taking six wickets helped the home side steer towards victory.


England declared their second innings 129/3 a target of 312 runs before the Windies which kept them under pressure and till Lunch the visitors were 25/3 and after that failed to bring momentum and in the final session were bundled out for 198.

Stokes was adjudged the Player of the Match for his excellent match winning display.
