New Delhi: According to big news, senior journalist Vinod Dua has passed away. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Room (ICU) of Apollo Hospital. His daughter and actress Mallika Dua has confirmed this. He was 67 years old.
He said that the last rites of the famous journalist would be performed on Sunday at the Lodhi Road crematorium here. Earlier this year he was admitted to the hospital due to Covid and he lost his wife, radiologist Padmavati ‘Chinna’ Dua in June this year due to a coronavirus infection.
Mallika Dua wrote on her Instagram, “Our fearless, and extraordinary father Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived a unique life, rising to the pinnacle of journalism excellence for 42 years starting from the refugee colonies of Delhi, always standing by the truth.
He wrote, “He is now in heaven with our mother, his lovely wife Chinna, where they will continue to sing songs, cook, travel, and fight with each other.” Hindi TV journalism pioneer Vinod Dua, who worked for Doordarshan and NDTV, was admitted to the ICU of Apollo Hospital on Monday.
Vinod Dua and his wife were admitted to a hospital in Gurgaon during the peak of the second wave of Kovid. The journalist’s health had deteriorated since then and he was being admitted to the hospital time and again. The couple’s elder daughter is Bakul Dua, a clinical psychologist.
