New Delhi: The second draft of Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020, has been placed in the public domain inviting suggestions and comments from the various stakeholders and the general public.
The first draft was web-hosted and comments, recommendations, and suggestions were solicited from various stakeholders by April 17th. This was later extended to the 8th of May. Since then, suggestions were received from various stakeholders, services, and industry running into more than 10,000 pages.
After an analysis of these comments, specific interactions were also carried out with the entire spectrum of stakeholders, both in person and via web conferences in order to understand their precise concerns.
The amended second draft has since been finalized by the review committee driven by tenets of defense reforms announced as part of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ and has been placed in the public domain. Specific comments have been sought on the amended draft by the 10th of August.
