Reliance Jio launches web browser JioPages

New Delhi: Reliance Jio has introduced its India-developed mobile browser ‘JioPages’. It is available in eight Indian languages. The company claims that it is designed with customers’ privacy in mind and will provide them with a better browsing experience. Apart from English, it is able to work in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali languages.

An upgraded version is available on the Google Play Store from Tuesday. It has been developed on the Chromium Blink engine. It provides customers with a better browsing experience with faster engine migration. Also loads web pages faster. In addition to effective media streaming, support for emoji domains and Internet connection in code.

A Geo spokesman also confirmed the company’s introduction of the new browser, though declined to give further details. Sources said that the company’s old browser was downloaded more than 14 million times on Google Play Store.
