New Delhi: Ravindra Jadeja left the captaincy of IPL team Chennai Super Kings on Saturday 30 April. After which MS Dhoni has been made the captain of CSK again. CSK gave this information in a statement.

CSK has issued a statement. It read, “Ravindra Jadeja has decided to step down from the captaincy to focus more on his game and has urged MS Dhoni to take over the reins of CSK. MS Dhoni has agreed to take over the reins of CSK keeping everyone’s interests in mind so that Jadeja gets a chance to focus on his game.

CSK’s disappointing performance
Let us tell you that two days before the start of IPL 2022, Dhoni, who made CSK a four-time champion, decided to step down from the captaincy for this season. After which Jadeja was made the captain of the Chennai franchise. CSK’s performance in this IPL was not that special with the new captain and the changed team. The team had lost only its first 4 matches. Chennai has won only 2 matches out of its 8 matches. After which their hopes of a place in the play-offs of the team under Jadeja’s leadership have almost faded. Chennai is in the ninth position in the points table. CSK’s next match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, May 1, in which Dhoni will lead the team again.

Jadeja’s poor performance too
This time not only the team, but the performance of Jadeja, who was made the new captain, has also been disappointing. Jadeja, who rocked both the balls with the bat till last season, has failed to show his attitude this time. Batting at number five in his team, Jadeja has scored just 112 runs in 8 matches at a strike rate of 121. At the same time, if we talk about his bowling, then the condition is not that good here too. He has been able to take only 5 wickets in 8 matches.
