New Delhi: Former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh died on Saturday at the age of 64. He was running ill for the last several days. Once upon a time, Amar Singh’s name was counted close to Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was also the leader of the Samajwadi Party’s number two position at one time. However, in 2010, he resigned from all posts of the party. After the news of Amar Singh’s death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Rajnath Singh, and many big leaders of the country have paid tribute.

During public life he had friendship among all parties. Let Amar Singh ji, who is humorous and always energetic in nature, place himself in his steps. My condolences to his heartbroken family. At the same time Jyotiraditya Scindia also tweeted, ‘My deepest condolences on the sad demise of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh ji.
