In this episode, on Saturday, retired IPS Amitabh Thakur of Uttar Pradesh has announced to contest the 2022 UP Assembly elections against CM Yogi Adityanath. Amitabh tweeted that since yesterday expressing their intention to contest against Yogi Adityanath, all my colleagues are constantly asking me to contest against him. After considering all things seriously, I have decided that wherever he will contest the upcoming assembly elections, I will definitely contest against him.
Earlier on Friday, by tweeting, Amitabh Thakur had said that ‘many friends are saying that you should fight against Yogi Ji. not a bad idea. By the way, I also know that I will get very few votes, negligible because I do not have the qualities of a leader, but it is necessary that I will definitely get Yogi Ji to follow the code of conduct in that election.
