The government has increased the maximum age of youth to be recruited under this scheme from 21 to 23 years. This information was given by the Ministry of Defense. In a tweet, the ministry said, “Government provides one-time relaxation in upper age limit from 21 years to 23 years for Agneepath scheme. This decision has been taken as there is no recruitment in the last two years.”

The exemption will be available only in the first year
Since the announcement of the Agneepath scheme, there were strong protests and violence in many states of the country. During this, the protesters caused a lot of damage to government property. The angry youth said that due to Corona, army recruitment has not come for the last two years, due to which we could not join the army. At the same time, keeping the maximum age of 21 years in the scheme, how will the one whose age has passed out, how will he be able to join it. In view of this, the government has decided to increase the maximum age of recruitment from 21 to 23. However, this increasing age will be applicable only for the recruitment taking place in the first year.
