Farmers raised questions
In a meeting with the central government on Tuesday, the farmers’ leaders boycotted the tea break during the meeting. Farmer leaders said that the farmers of the country do not trust the central government. Besides, the peasant leaders have demanded compensation for the families of the peasants who were martyred in the agitation. On the Prime Minister’s speech in Varanasi, the farmer leaders said that the PM’s policy and intention towards the farmers is not right and the central government is adopting double standards. Farmer leaders are adamant on repealing agricultural laws.

These allegations have been made by the farmers
Due to the Delhi Kooch Andolan, a meeting of 35 representatives of farmers’ organizations was held at Vigyan Bhawan today at the invitation of the Central Government with Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Somprakash. Shiv Kumar Kakkaji, the farmer leader of Madhya Pradesh, said that these 3 agricultural laws are orders for the death of farmers. He said that all the farmer leaders are very sensible and they know that these laws are very detrimental to the farmers. He further said that in the coming time this peasant movement is going to become a mass movement and after the sowing season the number of peasants at the dharna site will increase many times. He said that the policies of the farmers cannot be made by sitting in the rooms of Delhi. He finally said that now in Madhya Pradesh wheat, millet, paddy are sold at much less than the support price and farmers are being exploited.
