Dehradun: A company from India will now take tourists to space through balloons. Inspired by Elon Musk’s ‘Space X’, the Mumbai-based ‘Space Aura Aerospace Technology Pvt Ltd’ company has started making ‘Space Capsule or Spaceship’ ten feet by eight feet for this, in which apart from the pilot, at a time Six tourists will be able to sit and go to space. However, the space capsule will remain within a radius of 35 km above the Earth.

The company also presented a prototype of the original space capsule ‘SKAP One’ at the ongoing science exhibition ‘Akash Tattva’ at a university in Dehradun, which has received an overwhelming response from both scientists and the general public. Space Ara’s founder and CEO Akash Porwal said that the company has set a target of 2025 to start its space flight. He said that two places have been identified in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh to start space flights and a decision will be taken soon.

Porwal said that with the help of former scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), the company is working towards meeting the target on time. He said that the space capsule, equipped with all necessary modern facilities, life support, and communication system, will be taken 30-35 km above sea level with the help of a space balloon filled with hydrogen or helium gas where the tourists will stay on Earth for about an hour. Along with seeing the surface and space closely, you will also be able to feel it.

He told that after that the gas will be gradually reduced from the high-altitude space balloon and a parachute will be opened with the help of which the space capsule will start coming down. At a certain altitude, the space balloon will be detached from the space capsule and the space tourists will be brought down comfortably at a very slow speed. Porwal said that the tourists would be kept in a calm environment with the help of Indian Yoga and Spiritual Science for about a week before they are taken on a walk so that their journey can be completed in a pleasant manner and they can enjoy it to the fullest.

He said, ‘Our goal is to make India the center of space tourism activities by attracting space tourists from all over the world to India by creating a wonderful blend of space travel and Indian culture.’ He said that the world’s giants ‘Space X’ and ‘ Compared to ‘Blue Origin’, his company will make space tours for much less money and this will also inspire space tourists to come here. Porwal said that although the fare has not been finalized yet, it will be close to Rs 50 lakh.
