New variant of MG ZS EV came to compete with Tata Nexon EV Max

New Delhi: MG Motor India launched the new ZS EV facelift in the country in early 2022. The electric SUV was offered in two variants – Excite and Exclusive; However, only the top-spec Exclusive variant was on sale. The company has now announced the prices of the MG ZS EV Excite base variant.

Price
When it was officially launched, the Excite base trim was priced at Rs 21.99 lakh and the top-spec Exclusive trim was offered for Rs 25.88 lakh. This time MG has announced a price hike. The base variant is now available for Rs 22.58 lakh and the exclusive variant is now priced at Rs 26.49 lakh. The Excite variant has now become costlier by Rs 59,000, while the Exclusive trim has become costlier by Rs 61,000.

Power
The MG ZS EV Excite and Exclusive trims are equipped with the same 50.3kWh battery pack. A driving range of 461km is available on a single charge. The car is powered by an electric motor battery that generates 174bhp and 280Nm of torque. It claims to achieve a top speed of 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.

The base variant comes equipped with features like a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, 360-degree camera, climate control, hill descent control, rear air conditioning vents, and new i-Smart connected car features. The top-spec Exclusive variant gets a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, rear driver assist, and others. The new model will rival the Mahindra XUV400 and the Tata Nexon EV MAX.
