New Delhi: A new record has been set in India on Friday in the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. Actually, today means that on August 27, the number of vaccinations in a day has reached close to 10 million doses. The Center said that more than 93 lakh doses of vaccine were administered in a day and this is the largest figure so far in terms of daily vaccination.

Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry said that more than 4.05 crore doses of anti-Covid vaccine are still available with the states and union territories. The ministry said in a statement that more than 58.86 crore doses of vaccine have been given to the states and union territories so far and more than 17.64 lakh doses are being delivered to them.

On the other hand, after 44,658 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in India in a day, the number of infected in the country increased to 3,26,03,188. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Friday, after the death of 496 more people due to infection, the death toll increased to 4,36,861.

Currently, 3,44,899 people are undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection in the country, which is 1.03 percent of the total cases. The national rate of recovery of patients is 97.63 percent. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 11,174 cases was registered in the number of patients under treatment.

The daily infection rate is 2.45 percent, which is less than three percent for the last 32 days. At the same time, the weekly infection rate is 2.10 percent, which is less than three percent for the last 63 days. A total of 3,18,21,428 people have become infection-free in the country so far and the Covid-19 mortality rate is 1.34 percent.
