New Delhi: The name of Oxford and Cambridge Universities is very famous in India. It has become the dream of the students of today to study in these universities, for which the students also work hard. But, now equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a world-class campus, the dream of studying in the historical city of Nalanda can also be fulfilled. The campus of Nalanda University, which was built in Nalanda, is no less than any foreign university.

It is known to all that Nalanda University has been the center of knowledge science of the whole world. Students from all over the world come here to study. In 1193, the invader Bakhtiyar Khilji completely destroyed Nalanda University. Since then this university was turned into ruins, but now by re-establishing the glorious history of Nalanda University, the present government of Bihar has rebuilt it. The new campus of Nalanda University has been built on 456 acres. Where its history and a unique display of modern construction art can be seen.

The architecture of the stairs and buildings of the university brings back memories of the old Nalanda University. At the same time, arrangements have been made for rainwater harvesting and attractive lighting at the main gate, which gives a splendid glimpse of the modern style. Apart from this, the building of Nalanda University has been made weather friendly. Where there will be a feeling of coolness in summer and heat in cold. Clear blue water is visible all around this building.

Nalanda University Former President Dr. On the advice of APJ Abdul Kalam, the Nitish government had decided to build a new building. In 2007, the central government in the presence of Nobel laureate Amartya Sen constituted a mentor group consisting of representatives from China, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand. Later the mentor group became the governing body of the university.

At the same time, Japan, Singapore had helped in the construction of Nalanda University. 16 countries agreed on its establishment. The Act was passed in Parliament in 2010. was sent to the President for approval. On 21 September 2010, the President gave his assent to it and on 25 November this university came into existence.

School of Historical Studies and School of Ecology and Environment started in the first session of Nalanda University. It is to be known that, this university is being developed in such a way that academic studies take place from here, but also develop as a research center. Plans are also underway to make it the world’s most unique research center.
