New Delhi: Motorola is all set to launch its latest smartphone, the Moto G34 5G, in India on January 9, 2024. The phone will be exclusively available on Flipkart, where the company has already created a microsite to showcase its features and specifications. The Moto G34 5G is expected to be a budget-friendly 5G smartphone with a unique Vegan Leather design and a high-refresh-rate display.
Display and Design
The Moto G34 5G will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen will also have a peak brightness of 500nits and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The phone will have a sleek and lightweight design, weighing only 180g and measuring 8mm in thickness.
The most distinctive aspect of the Moto G34 5G’s design will be the Vegan Leather back panel, which will give the phone a premium and eco-friendly look. The phone will come in three color options: Ice Blue, Charcoal Black, and Ocean Green. The Ocean Green variant will have a leather finish, while the other two will have a glossy finish.
Performance and Battery
The Moto G34 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, which is an octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz and an Adreno 619 GPU. The phone will have two RAM and storage options: 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. The storage will be expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
The phone will run on Android 14 operating system with Moto’s My UX skin on top. The company has promised to provide one major Android update and three years of security patches for the phone. The Moto G34 5G will also have some exclusive Moto features, such as Moto Actions, Moto Display and Moto Gametime.
The Moto G34 5G will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The company claims that the phone will offer up to two days of battery life on a single charge. The phone will also have a reverse charging feature, which will allow it to charge other devices via a USB Type-C cable.
Camera and Connectivity
The Moto G34 5G will sport a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The primary camera will have an aperture of f/1.8 and a pixel size of 1.4µm. The macro camera will have an aperture of f/2.4 and a focal length of 4cm. The rear cameras will support features such as HDR, night mode, portrait mode, panorama, slow motion, and time-lapse.
The phone will also have a 16MP selfie camera on the front, with an aperture of f/2.2 and a pixel size of 1.0µm. The selfie camera will support features such as HDR, beauty mode, portrait mode, and face unlock.
The Moto G34 5G will be a 5G-ready smartphone, with support for 13 5G bands. The phone will also have other connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The phone will have an IP52 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Price and Availability
The Moto G34 5G will be launched in India on January 9, 2024, at noon IST. The phone will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, where the sale will go live soon after the launch. The price of the phone has not been officially announced yet, but according to a leaked report by 91Mobiles, the base variant of the phone (4GB + 128GB) may cost Rs 10,999. The price of the higher variant (8GB + 128GB) is not known yet.
