New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price hike of up to three percent for its entire model range with effect from April 1. The company said on Thursday that it was taking this step due to an increase in the cost of production. After this price hike, the cars of the Pune-based company will become costlier by Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

The luxury car company said in a statement, “The prices of the entire model range will increase by up to three percent. The cost of production along with logistics is increasing continuously due to which we have to take this step.” The continuous increase in the cost of production has also led to an increase in the cost of operations, the statement said. “Because of this, we have to increase the showroom prices of all our models.”

According to the statement, from April 1, the price of an A200 limousine will start from Rs 42 lakh. The starting price of the GLA model will be Rs 45 lakh, GLC 200 Rs 62 lakh, GLE D4M Rs 86 lakh, GLS 400 d4M Rs 1.16 crore, and LWB E-Class 200 Rs 71 lakh. Apart from this, the starting showroom price of S-Class 350 d will be Rs 1.6 crore, AMG E 63 S 4matic (CBU) will be Rs 1.77 crore, AMG-GT 63 S 4 Door Coupe (CBU) will be Rs 2.7 crore.
