Rajkot: In a tragic incident on Saturday evening, a massive fire erupted at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat. The billowing smoke was visible from a distance of 3 kilometers, drawing attention to the severity of the situation. As of now, there are reports of 20 fatalities resulting from this devastating accident. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown.

The rescue efforts have been hampered by the collapse of a structure within the game zone, making it challenging for the fire brigade officers to carry out their work effectively. Fire officer IV Kher, quoted by ANI, confirmed that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Despite the ongoing firefighting operations, no information about missing individuals has been received so far. The collapsed temporary structure and high wind speeds further complicate the extinguishing efforts. Fortunately, some reports indicate that 15 to 20 children have been rescued from the game zone.

This incident adds to the growing number of fire-related emergencies during the summer season. The TRP Gamezone, located on Kalavad Road behind Sayaji Hotel, has become the site of this tragic event. The death toll may still rise, as the bodies of more than 13 victims have already been brought to Rajkot Civil Hospital. The intensity of the fire has left the deceased unrecognizable, necessitating DNA identification. Heart-wrenching scenes unfold both at the incident site and within the hospital, where families anxiously await news of their loved ones. Children are among those affected by this catastrophe.
