New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the new Grand Vitara SUV on July 20. Now recently the company released its new teaser. The teaser shows a glimpse of the new taillight design of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV. The special thing is that the design of the LED taillights is different from any Maruti car launched so far. When launched, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

In the new teaser video released by Maruti Suzuki, the LED taillights cluster can be seen with three units on either side. The Grand Vitara also gets an LED strip on the boot spread across the length, which is to be distinguished only by the Suzuki logo at the center. This is the first time that Maruti Suzuki has given a complete glimpse at the taillights of the upcoming SUV.

Brand new design
Earlier, Maruti Suzuki had partially revealed the front of the Grand Vitara SUV. Elements like LED DRLs and LED headlights which also get three units like taillights at the rear, a large glass area of the grille and profile of the SUV, and a silhouette of the C pillar design were shown in the earlier teaser. It seems that this time around 16 to 17-inch alloy wheels will be available in the SUV. As of now, no information has been given about the interiors of the Grand Vitara SUV.

Booking started
Maruti Suzuki has already started booking for Rs 11,000 for the Grand Vitara. The name Grand Vitara was taken by Maruti Suzuki from its compact SUV in India in the early 2000s, which was later discontinued. The new model will be offered in two variants. Apart from a standard model, an intelligent electric hybrid variant will also come.

The car will be like Toyota Urban Cruiser
The Maruti Grand Vitara SUV is largely based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder SUV, which was recently unveiled by a Japanese carmaker in India. The Grand Vitara is also expected to share the same powertrain. The Hyryder SUV is offered with the Toyota Hybrid System, which is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum output of 68 kW and a peak torque of 122 Nm.
