Haridwar: The spiritual capital Haridwar is being prepared for Mahakumbh 2021 (Kumbh Mela Haridwar 2021) amid the Corona crisis. Kumbh works are being done in Haridwar at a cost of crores of rupees. Most of the work has been completed. This time, there will be four royal and six main baths in Kumbh. Kumbh Mela is held after 12 years, but Jupiter will not be in Aquarius in 2022. Therefore, this time the 11th year i.e. a year before, the Mahakumbh festival is being organized.
The Kumbh Mela will begin on February 27 on Magh Purnima. A notification in this regard will be issued around 20 February. The duration of Kumbh Mela will be two months. There will be four royal baths during the Kumbh lasting 27 April.
Dates of Haridwar Kumbh 2021 Shahi Snan:
The first royal bath will take place on 11 March 2021, Shivaratri.
The second royal bath will take place on 12 April 2021, Somvati Amavasya.
The third royal bath will take place on 14 April 2021, Aries Sankranti.
The fourth royal bath will take place on April 27, 2021, on the day of Baisakh Purnima.
Mahakumbh will include 13 akhadas
This time Mahakumbh will include 13 akharas. Tables are drawn from each arena during the Kumbh, in which Naga Baba leads, and behind him are the Mahants, Mandaleshwar, Mahamandaleshwar and Acharya Mahamandaleshwar. Aquarius bath has special significance. People also donate their ancestors.
15 thousand special police officers will be posted
At Haridwar Kumbh Mela, 15,000 special police officers (SPOs) will be deployed to help the devotees and the fair police. They will be posted in the fair area. Their duty will be round-the-clock. The fair will contribute significantly in maintaining peace in the region.
