Mumbai: The 12th edition of the popular Q&A program “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC) will start from 28 September. Amitabh Bachchan will conduct the program as usual. This time the schedule of the program has been changed according to the shooting due to Covid-19. The makers of KBC said on Monday that for the first time in twenty years, following the government’s security rules, the program would not have an audience in the studio.

The program, which aired on Sony TV, is produced by Studio Next. Due to the absence of an audience in the studio, this time the program will not have a ‘lifeline’ with the viewer. It will be replaced with a lifeline to talk through a ‘friend to video’. The other three lifelines in the program will remain the same. Talking about the new version, Ashish Golwalkar, head of content at Sony Entertainment Television and Digital Business, said that this time the registration was done through a digital medium in which his team got a good response from the participants.
