Srinagar: Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter on Wednesday between security forces and militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
What the officials said:
Police said a civilian was injured in the encounter. A police official said that security forces started a siege operation in the Tikan area of Pulwama district early today after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists. He said the operation turned into an encounter with the firing of militants on security forces. The officer said that two militants were killed and one civilian was injured in the encounter. He said that the terrorists and their organizations are being identified.
