New Delhi: The Income Tax Department is going to give a big relief to the taxpayers. Under this facility, it will now be possible to file income tax returns from mobile phones from June 7. Let us inform that the process of ITR filing has been stopped from midnight of 31 May 2021 for six days after the closure of the e-filing website incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. The filing process will start again from June 7. Before this, a new e-filing website will be launched on June 6.

This portal has been named ‘e-filing 2.0’. Along with this, the old portal running for e-filing of the department will be closed. Through this portal, income taxpayers will be able to easily file income tax returns on mobile phones. On this portal, you will also see the income tax return forms filed earlier as well as many more facilities will also be available.

For this, you have to first go to http://incometax.gov.in. This is a link to the new website. According to experts, these benefits are expected to be available on the new e-filing website.

Mobile application
Along with this, a mobile app will also be developed, which will give access to all the main functions on the mobile network. All the important features of this portal will be made available on the mobile app. There is no mobile app available in the current system.
