New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Monday identified 78 new routes within the country in the first phase of the fourth phase of UDAN scheme. Giving information about the Ministry of Civil Aviation said, “Under the first phase of UDAN 4.0, 78 new routes have been identified and approved. The Airports Authority of India, the implementing agency, is in the process of delivering these routes to selected airline operators. “

108 crores of three airports in Chhattisgarh
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, “The government has upgraded Rs 48 crore for Jagdalpur Airport, Rs 27 crore for Ambikapur Airport and Rs 33 crore for Bilaspur Airport to upgrade three airports in Chhattisgarh under the UDAN scheme and Approved for development. “

Airlines started on 274 out of 688 routes
Air service has started on 274 of the 688 routes allocated in the first three phases of the flight. Flights have been started on 56 routes of the first phase, 118 of the second phase and 100 of the third phase.

It may be noted that the Modi government has launched a regional connectivity scheme called ‘Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik’ (UDAN) to connect small and medium cities to the air network. Under this, the government decides the fare for the 50 per cent of the seats on the allotted routes, according to the maximum distance. This allows the airline to compensate for the losses incurred per seat.
