New Delhi: Korea’s leading automobile company Hyundai is preparing to launch a new sub-compact SUV for the Indian market. In the Indian market, this car will be placed below the Tata Punch and the upcoming Maruti Baleno Cross. Let us tell you that Hyundai is already selling the Casper micro SUV in Korea.
However, the Indian model of this car will be different from the model being sold in Korea. Called the Hyundai Ai3, the new micro SUV is likely to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023.
Spy video surfaced
The Hyundai Ai3 micro SUV has been spotted in Korea ahead of its debut. The spy video shared online by Youtube channel @acgoon confirms that the India-spec model is quite different from the Hyundai Casper. The spy video reveals that the new model will share design language with the Venue compact SUV. In fact, this model resembles a mini Venue.
These features are also present
The new Hyundai Ai3 subcompact SUV is based on the local K1 platform which underpins the recently discontinued Santro hatchback. The small SUV could be the new entry-level model from the brand in our market. In terms of styling, the new Hyundai micro SUV gets projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rectangular-shaped headlamp units, differently styled rear tail-lights, etc. The Casper gets circular headlamps and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles. On the other hand, the rear door handles have been kept in their traditional places.
Will get advanced features
The Hyundai Casper micro SUV measures 3595mm in length, 1595mm in width, and 1575mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2400. However, the India-spec model is likely to be around 3.7-3.8 meters in length and will have a longer wheelbase. The India-spec Hyundai Ai3 subcompact SUV is likely to share features with the Grand i10 Nios and the Venue compact SUV.
