New Delhi: The country is battling a second wave of Coronavirus. Hospitals do not have beds, so there is a glut of medical oxygen, but the cases of infection are constantly increasing. There is a lot of pressure on the health system and experts are recommending home isolation to people with mild symptoms of the corona. In such a situation, the question is, how long should a person be kept in home isolation? AIIMS director Randeep Guleria gave the answer to this question in a press conference on Health Ministry’s Coronavirus on Friday.

In response to the question, he said that if the patient (infected person) does not have any symptoms after staying in home isolation for ten days and does not have fever for three days, then home isolation can be done. He also said that if the home isolation period is over, then there is no need to take a test. AIIMS director also said that Remdesivir should not be used without medical advice and it should be used only in hospitals.

In response to another question, he said that we see reactions like ‘Corona is a scam, I don’t need a mask, there is life beyond it’; Do not pay attention to such things and follow the rules because we can get tired, but the virus does not get tired.

On the other hand, on the condition of corona in the country, the Health Ministry said that the pace of increasing infection in the last 14 days is worrying. Not only is the corona peaking in Karnataka, Kerala, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Odisha, but there is also an upward growth graph in the cases of Covid-19 there. At the same time, the second wave of Covid-19 is five times more than last year in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, 4.5 times in Chhattisgarh, and 3.3 times in Delhi.

On Friday, the Health Ministry said that 50 percent of deaths from Corona are being recorded in three states. These states are Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. Apart from this, the Ministry of Health has asked the states to audit the consumption of medical oxygen in all hospitals. It also includes private hospitals.
