Bhopal: Heavy rains have created a ruckus in Madhya Pradesh. The rivers are in spate due to continuous rain and the deluge is visible all around. Water has entered people’s homes and highways have been closed. The roads of the districts are submerged. Due to this, the traffic has come to a standstill. Bhopal has been raining continuously for the last 48 hours, so Narmada is in spate in Narmadapuram. It is flowing just 2 feet below the danger alarm. Heavy rains have caused havoc in almost every district. Schools have been closed in many districts including Bhopal. The administration is on alert and is appealing to the people in low-lying settlements to take precautions.

Narmadapuram on high alert
In view of the flood situation, the administration has issued a high alert in the district and has deployed 15 district response teams, so that people can be safely evacuated if a disaster situation arises. According to the administration, Bhopal-Nagpur National Highway will remain closed on the Itarsi route till the level of the dam is maintained. During this, vehicles have been diverted from Betul. Due to heavy rains in Narmadapuram, the district administration has declared a holiday in schools. The administration has also identified the places of relief camps where people can be shifted in case of waterlogging in low-lying areas. In view of the possibility of floods, Collector Neeraj Singh and SP Gurkaran Singh along with the police and administrative staff took stock of the low-lying areas of the city including the Narmada Ghats.

Disaster in Khargone-Rajgarh
Water has entered people’s houses and shops in the Khargone district. Common life is being badly affected here. Due to heavy rains, the road has turned into a pond. At the same time, due to torrential rains in Rajgarh- Narsinghgarh of Rajgarh district, the main market and many shops including the lower settlements of the city were flooded. Due to this, the people suffered a lot. Due to the rains, the roads of many villages have been closed due to the nearby rivers and streams being in spate.

Rivers overflowing in Mandla
In Mandla district, all the rivers and streams are in spate due to incessant rains for a few days. Here the gate of the dam built on the Thavar river has been opened. Due to this, the Thawar bridge built on the Mandla-Seoni-Nagpur road has become submerged. This bridge is submerged in water for the last 22 hours. Due to this the traffic is disrupted. Mandla-Seoni-Nagpur route is closed for 22 hours. Alam is that there is a long queue of vehicles on both sides. At the same time, there has been a boom in Jokhe Nala in Khalhe Dithori on Mandla Dindori road. Here it is flowing about three feet above the drain. Due to this, the traffic on the Mandla-Dindori road has been disrupted. Long queues of vehicles have formed on both sides.

Things are bad in Dindori
Due to the heavy rains in the Dindori district for the last 5 days, all the rivers and streams are in spate. Flood water is flowing over the bridge in Rora river on Dindori to Nevsa road. Due to this many villages have lost contact with the district headquarters. Due to the bridge being submerged in floods, the traffic on the route has been completely disrupted for about 4 hours, so the passengers are looking very upset. Due to incessant rains, normal life has been affected.

Temple submerged in Mandsaur
Lord Pashupatinath got submerged in Mandsaur. The water of the Shivana river entered the sanctum sanctorum of Pashupatinath temple. Four mouths of Lord Pashupatinath were submerged in water. Let me tell you, it has been raining heavily since late at night. Water also entered several low-lying settlements. Lower settlements in Kachnara and Dhamnar were evacuated.
