Heavy fall in gold and silver prices

New Delhi: Gold prices fell by Rs 380 to Rs 47,900 per 10 grams in the Delhi spot bullion market amid reports of a fall in global prices. HDFC Securities gave this information. In the previous trading session, gold had closed at Rs 48,280 per 10 grams. Silver also declined by Rs 590 to close at Rs 48,200 per kg. It had closed at Rs 48,790 per kg in the previous trading session.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, in the international market, gold was $ 1,721 an ounce and silver was $ 17.26 an ounce. He said, according to the stock market, gold prices fell on Monday, where there was a possibility of the virus spreading again around the world.

After the weak trend abroad, traders cut their deals, due to which gold prices fell by 0.68 percent to Rs 47,011 per 10 grams in futures trade on Monday. In August, futures prices for delivery in MCX fell by Rs 323, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 47,011 per 10 grams, with a turnover of 14,120 lots.
