New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Google made a big announcement and promised to help one million women entrepreneurs in India. Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced this by Saturday. Sundar Pichai has announced to give 25 million dollars to make the women of the world financially stronger. This money will be given in grants to non-profits and social enterprises present in India and around the world. Pichai said that 10 lakh women from villages of India will be helped in the Google Internet Saathi program through business tutorials, tools, and memberships.

Along with this, Google will also help the women entrepreneurs in community support, mentorship, and accelerator program being launched on the ‘Women Will’ web platform. It is in English and Hindi languages. According to Pichai, it has been specially designed for women who want to enter the world. Google launched it under the Virtual Google for India program. For this, Google 2000 will work with Internet companions. So that women entrepreneurs can start in this field. Along with this, it was also said that the NASSCOM Foundation will also provide assistance of US $ 5 million for digital and financial literacy of one lakh women working in Google.ORG fields.

Talking about the internet partner project, Pichai said that the gender division is over. This program was created to provide digital literacy to women in 300,000 villages in India. In its six-year journey, this joint effort by Tata Trusts has impacted over 3 crore women in rural India. Pichai said, she will be able to use technology to improve not only her life but also her life. Recalling the days of childhood, Pichai said that his mother used to invite neighbors to use rotary phones. “Sometimes it felt like the whole neighborhood was in our living room, and connecting with our loved ones.” Pichai further said that empowering women entrepreneurs can create millions of jobs.
