New Delhi: Google is gearing up to launch its flagship series phones Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro soon. The phones are expected to offer high-end specifications and features, such as powerful processors, advanced cameras, fast charging, and wireless charging. However, they will also come with premium prices, according to the leaked US prices of the phones.
According to a recent report by 9to5Google, a retail source has revealed that Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro can be launched for $699 and $999 in the US, which is equivalent to Rs 58,000 and Rs 82,900 in India. However, this is not the official price, and the company has not confirmed any information about it. The actual price of both phones will be known only after the launch.
However, if we compare these prices with the previous model, Pixel 7, which was launched for $599 and $899 in the US, we can see that there is an increase of $100 for both the standard and the pro models. This means that the Pixel 8 could possibly be priced between Rs 65,000 to Rs 70,000, while the Pixel 8 Pro could possibly be priced between Rs 90,000 to Rs 95,000 in India. These prices are based on the current exchange rate and may vary depending on the taxes and duties.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to have similar designs as the Pixel 7 series, which have a camera bar at the back and a flat display with a punch-hole cutout. However, the Pixel 8 Pro may have a curved display with a higher refresh rate. The Pixel 8 may have two rear cameras, while the Pixel 8 Pro may have three sensors.
According to some leaks, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro may feature a 50-megapixel GN2 primary sensor and a 12-megapixel IMX386 ultra-wide sensor on the rear. The Pixel 8 Pro may also have a telephoto lens with optical zoom. The front camera may be a 12-megapixel IMX663 sensor.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is one of the most powerful processors in the market. They may also have up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. They may run on the Android 12 operating system with Google’s own software features.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro may have battery capacities of around 4000 mAh and 5000 mAh respectively. They may also support fast charging and wireless charging technologies. They may also have other features such as stereo speakers, water resistance, fingerprint scanner, and face unlock.
The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to launch in October or November this year. They will compete with other flagship phones such as Samsung Galaxy S22, iPhone 13, and OnePlus 10. They will also showcase Google’s innovation and vision in the smartphone industry.
