Fund of one thousand crore rupees collected so far for temple construction

Ayodhya: So far, more than one thousand crore rupees have been collected in the campaign started last month to collect funds for the construction of the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya. Champat Rai, secretary of Shree ram janmabhoomi pilgrimage trust, who oversees the temple construction, gave this information on Thursday.

Rai said that all sections of the society have raised donations to build the temple. He said that till now more than one thousand crore rupees have been deposited in the trust accounts of the three banks. He said that about one and a half lakh workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad are collecting donations for the Ram temple. Ram Mandir Trust has opened accounts in State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda for this purpose.

It may be noted that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has started a campaign to collect donations for the construction of the temple. The campaign, which started from 14 January, will run till 28 February. Devotees can donate as much as they want for temple construction from Rs 10.
