New Delhi: 130 Khap Panchayat of Haryana will join the demonstration of farmers from tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. This matter has been announced today by the Khap Panchayats. The spokesperson of Khap Panchayats Jagbir Malik said that they are part of the demonstration of the farmers from the beginning, now all the Khap Panchayats have agreed with the consent that they will also participate in the farmers’ demonstration.
The importance of Khap panchayats is very much from the political point of view. Especially in the Jat community of Haryana, they have a lot of importance. Their importance can be gauged from the fact that during the 2014 election rally in Jind, PM Modi sought his blessings for the BJP.
As such, the importance of Khap Panchayats has decreased these days because it is the traditional panchayat of Haryana, not the chosen panchayat. Despite this, they are very important in its Jats. Khap panchayats are caste based. Jats have enough land in the rural areas of Haryana, they have a significant influence in administration and politics, the population is also very large, that is why they have a lot of influence in these states.
Today, the farmers unions have announced that they have come for a decisive battle and will return only after returning the agricultural bill. The farmers were accused of Modi government that they are exploiting the common people and making laws for corporates. The farmers said that we have rejected Modi ji’s proposal for conditional talks.
