Chauhan, who was admitted to PGI Lucknow for Corona treatment from July 12, was getting worse day by day. On Saturday, both of their kidneys stopped working. After which he was rushed to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Where they were kept in the life support system. His condition was critical.

73-year-old Chetan made his international debut in Test cricket in 1969 and in 1978 he made his ODI debut. For India, he played 40 Tests and 7 ODIs. Despite scoring more than two thousand runs in Test cricket, Chetan Chauhan was unfortunate that he does not have a single century in his name. He was the first player in the history of Test cricket to score so many runs without scoring a century.
