According to the information and reports, the encounter started late last Wednesday night in South Kashmir. A total of two terrorists were reported to be surrounded here. Due to which the security forces surrounded the entire area. If sources are to be believed, the security forces launched a search operation after the information about the hiding of terrorists in Pulwama.
During this, the terrorists hiding in a house started firing on the security forces. According to the SOP, first, they were given a chance to surrender and many more opportunities were given to them. Even after this, the terrorists instead of surrendering continued their constituent firing. In retaliation, the encounter started here. Firing continued till late night from both sides.
It should be noted that earlier the security forces had achieved great success in Handwara of North Kashmir. In an encounter with terrorists, the top Hizbul commander Mehrajuddin alias Ubaid was killed by the security forces here. The dreaded terrorist was involved in many terrorist activities in Ubaid Valley.
