DGCI approves Zydus Cadila’s ‘Virafine’, another injection to fight Corona

New Delhi: The Drugs Controller General of India has approved the use of another injection for the treatment of corona infections. On Friday, DGCI approved the use of Zydus Cadilla’s Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2b, Virafine, in the treatment of adult corona infections.

Used for Hepatitis B
This injection made by Zydus Cadila was previously used for liver disease Hepatitis B. Its full name is Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2b. After growing cases of the corona, it is now decided to use it against the coronavirus. For this, testing has been done at 25 centers across the country.

Reduced oxygen requirement after injection
The company has claimed that the need for injecting corona infected after injection is extremely low.
