Cyclone Biparjoy to hit Jakhau Port and Kutch in Gujarat by June 15

Gujarat: Due to cyclonic storm Biparjoy, high tide was seen at Gomti Ghat in Dwarka on Tuesday. According to IMD, very severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy will hit Saurashtra and Kutch near Jakhau port by the evening of June 15.

Gujarat’s Relief Commissioner Alok Kumar Pandey told that in view of cyclone Biparjoy, the state government and the central government are on alert. We have 12 NDRF teams and they are deployed in Kutch, Porbandar, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Morbi, and Rajkot districts. 3 teams have come to us from the Center and have been kept in reserve in Rajkot, Gandhidham, and Kutch.

The speed can reach up to 145 kmph
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a review meeting on Monday regarding the situation of severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy. According to the meeting, a squall with wind speed reaching 125 to 135 kmph gusting to 145 kmph is very likely over Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, and Morbi from morning to evening of June 15.
