New Delhi: The feared third wave of corona in the country may start this month. It has been claimed in a report that the third wave will start from the month of August. It has been said that during this time one lakh cases can come daily. In the worst case, this number can reach 1.5 lakh per day. Research led by Mathukumalli Vidyasagar and Manindra Agarwal at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Hyderabad and Kanpur claimed that the peak of the third wave may be seen in October. According to Bloomberg, Vidyasagar told in an email that due to states like Kerala and Maharashtra, the situation may become serious again. However, it is expected that the third wave of Covid-19 will not be as deadly as the second wave this year.

In May this year, a professor at IIT Hyderabad, Vidyasagar had said that India’s coronavirus outbreak could peak in a few days based on mathematical models. According to Bloomberg, Vidyasagar had told at that time, ‘We believe that the peak will come within a few days. As per the current estimates, 20,000 cases can be registered daily till the end of June.

40,784 new cases were found in 24 hours
However, the guesses of Vidyasagar’s team proved to be wrong. He estimated that by the middle of June, the Kovid wave would be at its peak. He then wrote on Twitter that this was due to wrong parameters because a week ago, Covid was changing rapidly.’ He told Reuters that the peak would be between May 3-5 and told India Today that there was a second wave. The peak will be on 7th May.

On the other hand, according to the Worldometer website, 40,784 new cases have been found in the country in the last 24 hours and 424 people have died. At the same time, 36,808 people were cured. According to the website, a total of 31,695,368 confirmed cases of corona have been found in the country so far.

Third wave of Corona

Recently experts had said that the delta variant of the coronavirus can cause more severe disease than all other variants of the virus and spread easily like smallpox. A report said that on the basis of unpublished data in a document from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it has been shown that people who have received all doses of the vaccine can spread the delta variant as much as people without vaccination. The Delta variant was first identified in India.
