Rewa(MP): A round of accusations has begun on Netflix over a web series called ‘A Suitable Boy’. There are allegations that Hindu sentiments have been hurt through the web series. Not only this, the National Minister, BJP Yuva Morcha Gaurav Tiwari handed over a memorandum to SP Rewa Rakes Singh, accusing him of insulting Maheshwar Ghat and Shiva devotees built by Rani Ahilya Bai and Holkar dynasty. He has also demanded action in the matter. Also, the photocopy and video of the kissing scenes shown in episode-2 have been handed over to the SP.

A Suitable Boy

Gaurav Tiwari said that he watched a web series on OTT platform Netflix. The series is based on a book written by Vikram Seth and produced by Netflix. The second episode of the show features some scenes that are indecent. It shows a Hindu girl from Bengal having an affair with a Muslim boy. The story was not limited to the love affair, three times in the same episode the Muslim boy (character) was shown kissing a Hindu girl (character), and all three times the scene was filmed in the Shiv Mandir precinct at Maheshwar Ghat. .

These allegations were made
Gaurav Tiwari said that in the kissing scene and in the temple precinct, is this just a coincidence? No, this is a shameful attempt to hurt Hindu sentiments and promote ‘Love Jihad’, which Hindu society will not tolerate at all. Explain that Maheshwar has innumerable stone Shivalingas and it got more divine form during the reign of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. There is no greater devotee of Shiva than Rani Holkar and the filming of ‘Kissing Scene’ in the premises of Maheshwar Ghat and Shivmandir, the symbol of such a great ruler and symbol of Hindu faith, seems to be a well thought out conspiracy. In the case, Rewa SP Rakesh Singh said that a complaint has been received. Further action will be taken after investigation as per rules.
