Cloudburst caused devastation in Himachal

New Delhi: Monsoon has become fully active in North India, craving for rain. It has also become so active that it has created havoc in two states. For the last one month, the monsoon has gathered its pace in the North Indian states, waiting for the rains. In Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan where a red alert has been issued. At the same time, there has been tremendous destruction due to cloudbursts in Uttarakhand, Himachal, and Kashmir.

Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamsala has caused severe destruction. Many houses were damaged, while hundreds of vehicles were washed away due to the increase in the famous tourism Bhagsu Nag of the district. The water level in Kullu’s Sarvari river has increased due to rain. Due to which people have to leave their homes and go to other places due to the water entering the houses.

At the same time, there has been a long jam on the roads in many districts of the state. Due to the rains in the state, the bridge built at Rajola on the Mandi-Pathankot highway has been damaged. Due to this, there is a long traffic jam on both sides. In Kangra, another major district of the state, due to heavy rains, a flood-like situation has arisen.

Keeping a close watch on the situation due to rain
On the deteriorating situation in Devbhoomi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Situation being closely monitored due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. The officials are working closely with the state government. All possible help is being given. I pray for the safety of the people in the affected areas.”

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah had spoken to the Chief Minister of the state Jai Ram Thakur. During this, the Home Minister assured Himachal of all possible help.

Increased devastation in Jammu and Kashmir
A cloudburst on Sunday created a flood situation in Ganderbal in central Kashmir. Several houses, shops and roads were completely damaged. The administration has started relief and rescue operations. Along with Kashmir, the situation in Jammu has also worsened due to rain. The roads were completely submerged.

In Uttarakhand also, the situation has become serious due to the incessant rains. Due to landslides due to heavy rains in Chamoli district, Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway No. 7 got blocked. At the same time, the water level of rivers is increasing due to continuous rains in Uttarkashi.

Heavy rain alert in Madhya Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. According to the IMD, there is talk of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh for the coming few days. Due to which a red alert has been issued in the entire state. At the same time, rain has started in the nearby districts including the capital Bhopal from tomorrow.

Lightning alert in Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued a lightning alert in Bihar. Along with this, there is also talk of heavy rain in East and Champaran. According to IMD, within 24 to 48 hours, up to 17 mm in North-West and North-East districts of Bihar, 65 mm in East-West Champaran, 3 to 12 mm in 14 districts including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Begusarai. It is likely to rain.
