New Delhi: Jeep India on Tuesday introduced the opening of bookings for its upcoming SUV Meridian. Its manufacturing has begun at the firm’s plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra. Jeep India is part of the automotive conglomerate Atlantis. The firm mentioned that clients can e-book the Meridian on the Jeep India dealership community or by way of the corporate’s website with a down cost of Rs 50,000.
The provisions of the automobile will begin in June. Jeep India mentioned that it has begun manufacturing the Meridian in the manufacturing facility of the three-way partnership established with Tata Motors. The Meridian has seven seats in three rows and the SUV is powered by a 2-liter turbo diesel engine. There are a six-speed guide and nine-speed automated gearbox transmission choices.
Roland Bouchara, CEO and Managing Director, Stelantis India, mentioned that Meridian is the third new mannequin manufactured in India by Jeep after 2021. He mentioned that it has been designed to retain in thought the wants of the shoppers and the situation of the Indian highway.
