Banks across the country will be closed for 13 days in March, know the list of all holidays

New Delhi: The next month i.e. March is the last month of the financial year and fourth quarter. In this month, people have to settle many tasks related to banking, investment, and income tax. Big festivals like Mahashivratri and Holi are also falling in this month. In such a situation, if you have any important work related to the bank, then this news is very useful for you. Actually, banks will be closed for a total of 13 days in March.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for March 2022. According to this list, banks will not work for 13 days in the next month. This also includes the weekly holidays of 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays.

Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, on the first day of the month of March 1 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Mahashivratri Banks will remain closed in Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

  • On March 3 (Thursday) there will be no business in Gangtok on the occasion of Losar.
  • March 4 (Friday) There will be a holiday in banks in Aizawl due to Chapchar Kut.
  • Sunday 6th March (Sunday) is a weekly holiday in banks.
  • March 12 (Saturday): Banks will remain closed as it is the second Saturday of the month.
  • March 13 (Sunday) Banks do not work on this day.
  • On the occasion of Holika Dahan, Thursday, March 17, there will be a bank holiday in Dehradun, Kanpur, Lucknow and Ranchi zones.
  • Banks will remain closed in all other zones except Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram on Friday, March 18, on the occasion of Holi.
  • March 19 (Saturday) being the second day of Holi / Yaosang will be a public holiday in banks in Bhubaneswar, Imphal and Patna.
  • Sunday 20 March (Sunday) is a weekly holiday in banks.
  • Banks will remain closed in Patna zone on 22 March (Tuesday) on the occasion of Bihar Diwas.
  • Banks will remain closed due to March 26 (Saturday) being the fourth Saturday of the month.
  • Sunday, March 27 (Sunday) is a weekly holiday in banks.
