New Delhi: Union Minister for Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad said in the inaugural session of the 23rd edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit that iPhone maker Apple (Apple) ) Has come to India on a large scale for business. Prasad said that Apple’s nine operating units have shifted from China to India. He said that the world of manufacturing was looking for an alternative place.

Prasad said, “During the epidemic, we came up with our production based incentive scheme. I am happy to announce here that major global and Indian mobile phone makers have invested around Rs 11,000 crore and are committed to making mobile phones worth Rs 10.50 lakh crore in the next five years. ”

The summit was inaugurated by PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the conference through video conferencing and said, “Technology has worked to enhance human dignity. At present, millions of farmers are able to get necessary information including financial assistance at a click. All this has been possible only through technology. ”

The PM further said, “Five years ago we started Digital India. I am happy to point out that this is not being seen as a normal initiative of the government. Digital India has become a way of life, especially for those who are poor and marginalized and those who are in government. ”
